On April 9th about 40 people attended a “community hike day” event on the Laurel Woods Trail. Marilyn Flannery guided the participants to various species of trees that line the path. Over 15 different species of hard wood trees were identified and labeled. Bucktoe Creek Preserve provided the laminated labels.

An article about the event ‘Friends of the Trails kicks-off spring with community hike” appeared in the Chester County Press by correspondent Nancy Johnson.
The grand opening of the Pomeroy and Newark Railroad Sign by local railroad historian Ben Marsden.
