Photo Gallery: Scout Troop 22 installing benches along the Mill Race Trail, May 12, 2012.
Scout leader Matt Schmittle along with scoutmaster Randy Spencer and fellow scouts from Troop 29 assembled and installed eight high quality and sturdy benches along the Mill Race Tail. Six were situated in the Mill Race Trail (below) and two in the Laurel Woods Trail. The benches were pre-assembled off site and then delivered to the trail entrance. From there each were wheeled to a pre-selected spot and cemented into two 36 inch holes. Thanks to Troop 29 these benches are set to comfort future hikers for many years to come.
